- Thinking about AI daily at work - I've been working closely with the CPO and the SVP of Strategy (my boss) on how we continue to evolve our business model in the AI era. So much of this work is about storytelling - not about the economics or the structure, but about telling a consistent, and cohesive narrative about what matters in your product, and what matters less.
- More broadly thinking about the evolution of software with AI; it will grow because corporations will force it to, but how much productivity gains will we really see as a whole when there seems to be so much consumer skepticism? I don't think we've seen concerns like this with another early technology, but social media makes things loud.
- I'm in LA, grounded. Our home situation is kind of odd right now, there's not much daily renovation or maintenance happening on our multifamily home (last year was a gauntlet), but the things that are coming up are pretty urgent and effortful
- My wife Kiersa is focused on buying a business right now. It's exciting to see her easing back into the career she's worked so hard for. But it's tough to see her pushing herself the way she is so seemingly soon after we've had two babies. She continues to awe me, and I'm eternally grateful for her presence, drive, and commitment
- The babies are healthy and doing well but they need a ton of attention at this age; daycare, sleep routines, minor normal health concerns just push things to the edges
- All this means my life is mostly work and family at the moment. I've been gradually seeking to build more robust community in Los Angeles. There's no shortage of people; there's a shortage of Black people at our stage in life, with our vantage point of the world. I'll probably write more on this at some point soon.
- I've returned to F45. I'd give the vibes and the classes in Culver City a B at best, but the workouts never miss. I've gained weight like I was the one carrying the babies smh.
